Gateway Psychotherapy & Counselling Services.
SIGNPOSTING OUR SERVICES
Gateway Psychotherapy and Counselling Practice has been established for fifteen years successfully providing services to the local community of Barking and Dagenham and surrounding areas. We also provide our services to GPs, Social Services, Local Businesses, Legal Services, Schools, Community Based Projects, and Employee Assisted Programmes.
Our ethos and commitment is to ‘Emotional Mental Wellness’. We see everyone as a separate being with their own way of coping. We believe emotional wellness is a mind, body and environment trilogy, environment internal and external. We believe people want to ultimately thrive and flourish. We also believe the body does not lie: muscle tension, muscle knots, fatigue, anxiety, depression, addictions and other issues are all signals that things are not going right in someone’s internal and external world. We believe you start with a thought and your thoughts are what we work on with you.
Gateway Psychotherapy and Counselling is committed to Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Psychotherapy. We have been successfully using this approach for the last ten years. Mindfulness Cognitive Based Therapy is now being established as the lead therapy for people suffering with anxiety and depression, and has now been endorsed by the Governments health body The UK National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE).
We invite you to browse all our pages and find the support you are looking for. We have made it our mission to be accessible to nearly everyone in the community as far as our present resources will allow. Where we have gaps we actively seek the resources to close them.
